estive em óbidos a fotografar um casamento! óbidos nunca deixa de me surpreender! tem um charme inconfundível, as flores nesta altura estão no seu esplendor, se bem que as minhas preferidas já caíram! esta altura tem ainda outra nuance, uma vez que decorre a feira medieval, enchendo a pequena vila de pessoas vestidas à época medieval, que fazem coroas de flores, que simpaticamente sorriem para nós quando apontamos a máquina. tudo parece ter ainda outro charme! e a minha felicidade quando soube que ia poder fotografar um casamento aqui foi imensa! há um ano atrás tinha estado em óbidos para fotografar a vila, e tinha pensado mesmo nisso “um casamento aqui deve ser um sonho!” e um ano depois cá estive para fotografar um casamento!

i was in obidos to shoot a wedding! obidos never ceases to amaze me! it has this remarkable charm, flowers are on its splendor, though my favourite ones have fallen already! this time of the year has this major event going on, which is a medieval fair! it’s so interesting to see the small village filled with people dressed like the medieval times, sat on the sidewalk, making flower crowns and playing music! they smile at you if you point the camera, like this is such a celebration for them! a year ago i had been on this village to take some photos and the thought of having a wedding here crossed my mind and i thought that would be something absolutely dreamy! and here i was, one year later, i went to shoot a wedding in obidos! 

este foi um casamento bastante pequeno, além dos noivos havia apenas um casal de amigos com os seus dois filhos. e foi feito num local de sonho, no topo da pousada do castelo. o único senão foi mesmo o vento forte que se fazia sentir, mas mesmo assim não deixámos de ter uma vista deslumbrante sobre a vila e todos os arredores! cada vez que tenho oportunidade de fotografar um casamento pequeno, aprendo que sem dúvida, nestas cerimónias há lugar para outro tipo de emoções e acima de tudo descontração. são cerimónias verdadeiramente íntimas e durante a qual os noivos têm muito pouco para se preocupar, além deles mesmos e da celebração do amor que os trouxe até ali. e há qualquer coisa nisto que me agrada bastante pessoalmente!

this was a very small wedding! asides the groom and bride, there was only another couple and their two teenage children. the civil ceremony was held on a dreamy location, on top of the castle hotel, with a stunning view over the village and everything around. the only but in this whole equation was the strong wind. but the thing is that every time i get the chance of shooting a small wedding, i learn that these ceremonies have something really special about them. there is room for different emotions and above all, there’s room to relax and enjoy the moment. both bride and groom had little to worry about, other than themselves and their love! and there is something in these ceremonies that i really like, on a personal perspective!
